To apply for a Student Loan you need to have submitted your application for enrolment with the Garden Route Hotel School.
International Students
Students from other countries may study at Garden Route Hotel School upon successfully obtaining the relevant study Visas attainable from the South African Embassy or Consulate in their country of residence. No student may be registered for their programme until they are in possession of a valid study Visa. As the Visa regulations have changed in South Africa, you may no longer be able to apply for/change your Visa status from within South Africa.
The valid study Visa is to be presented at registration.

Accreditation
The Garden Route Hotel School offers nationally accredited courses/programmes that are quality assured by relevant local bodies with direct interests in promoting high standards in education and with a direct interest in the hospitality industry. Our courses/programmes offered have a large focus on work integrated learning as we firmly believe that “hands on” practical experience is crucial in a very fast paced and highly demanding industry. The process of accreditation is a lengthy one, it entails site inspection.
CATHSSETA
At GRHS we offer CATHSSETA (the Culture, Art, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority), accredited programmes. Cathsseta is the Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) established under the Skills Development Act (No 97 of 1998) [the Skills Act] for the Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Economic Sector.
SAQA
All qualifications in South Africa need to be registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Our Certificate programmes are registered with SAQA.
