I completed my internship at Sky Villa Boutique Hotel from December to June. During such a short amount of time I was exposed to so many different aspects of Hospitality! I began my time at Sky Villa in food and beverage and then moved through to marketing , front office and was involved in the organisation & co ordination of all events. I was able to jump right into events from the very beginning and learnt more than I ever had before from event co ordinator , Marianne. I would highly recommend an internship at Sky Villa! From fast paced and exciting atmosphere to the incredibly fun & friendly team , makes for a great learning environment.

Internship Programme

In 2018 Cape Summer Villas Boutique Collection established it's own Hospitality and Tourism Internship Programme.

  • To date we have accepted in excess of 100 interns within our collection of properties, allowing each intern to get the necessary experience within the 5 star Boutique Hotel environment.
  • In 2019, we assisted youth in the local community by accepting 40 local students who had been awarded an internship and needed to complete their practical hours.
  • In the midst of Covid-19 and the many hotel closures that occurred as a result, we committed to assisting the industry by accepting interns. Thereby ensuring a bottleneck did not occur, of students who were unable to get the qualifications due to no internship opportunities.

Currently we accept Interns from a number of Hotel Schools, institutes of higher learning or culinary schools such as:

  • Central University of Technology
  • Stenden University
  • IHT Hotel School
  • South Cape College
  • Capsicum Culinary Studio

The programme seeks to assist students who are studying toward their hospitality qualifications by gaining practical experience within the industry.


Each training institution will set out their tailored work integrated learning programme for their learners to follow.


The Process:

  • An application must be lodged directly with us and must be accompanied by:
    • CV with head and shoulders photo.
    • Motivational letter as to why you think joining CSV will add value.

  • The CSV management TEAM will assess the application.

  • A Google Video meeting will be scheduled for a face to face interview.
  • The applicant and their institution will be contacted with the outcome.

  • If accepted, the applicant will be assigned a property to work at and will be supplied with a departmental rotational plan for the period of their internship. In certain instances, applicants will be rotated between properties.
